This year we celebrate five years! In January 2012, we recruited writers from all over the country to share their real work, life, and play experiences with other professionals and graduate students. The goal was that if we shared our experiences, we would further connect, learn, and grow from our experiences. I could not have predicted the quality writing from first-years all over the country and the depth to what writers would share from their experiences in higher education. We have had over 1300 posts to the blog site and over 370,000 lifetime visits to our blog site. Thank you to all of the writers who have boldly joined us in this adventure. We could not have done it without you. Thank you to all of the readers who have visited our page over and over again. We appreciate you!
Follow us this week as we ask our writers to bring their perspectives around the theme, 5 years/5 perspectives. From graduate student to professionals, our writers will write from their student affairs lens.
But there is always room for more. Each year undergraduate students step into graduate programs, and graduate students step into professional roles. We still need help to share the first-years story. Please consider giving back by joining our writing community, today. If interested, please fill out this link below and one of our team members will reach out to you.
Once again, thank you for helping us reach our five years anniversary. I feel blessed to have worked with so many great professionals and graduate students due to this blog experience and community.
