Better with Time

Like most things, including fine wine, Richard Gere and my sense of style, Texas has gotten better with time.

I think because Houston is so big, it's been difficult to meet people, but you can keep that big fish in a little pond scenario because those little ponds don't have the culture and tacos like the pond I'm living in! I have been having so much fun the past few weeks with friends from the rescue I work with, from kickball and just some people I've met along the way. Every weekend has been filled with something and my weeks are busy too.

I know a lot of you are moving to new places and it might be your first time away, but you are an adventurous, brave young professional and you can make this new place your home. Don't be afraid to get out there and do things on your own. Invite people to go out, have dinner, go for a walk...anything. Explore your city, eat at local restaurants, go to the museums, immerse yourself into your city and it will grow on you!

God bless Texas...and tacos.
