Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving was last week. So, it seems fitting that I write about being thankful. So here is a list of some things I am thankful for:
  1. My family. Our dynamic is unique, but we love each other nonetheless.
  2. My friends. I am so lucky to have the most amazing group of friends in my life. You have all opened your doors and hearts to me when I was breaking. You’ve invited me to be a part of your families and I can never put into words what that means to me. You saved my life.
  3. The amazing people in higher ed. that I have met over the years. There are so many of you and I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to meet and get to know you. You all care so much about students. Your passion is contagious. Thanks for opening my eyes to this profession.
  4. The MS.Ed faculty at Monmouth. Thank you for believing in me everyday. Especially on the days I doubt myself. You have never given up on me and I am forever grateful.
  5. My SA grad cohort. I would be completely lost without you guys. Thanks for keeping me sane.
  6. Music, aka my artistic outlet. Thanks for making self-care happen.
  7. My favorite folks here at SA First Years. Thank you for giving the opportunity to write for this amazing blog. You are all so wonderful.

I wish you all the best Thanksgiving filled with joy! If you would like to share what you are thankful for please feel free to comment or tweet at me @cpitts_
