Make Your October Monday Count

We’re approaching mid-October and sure enough, it seems like time is flying by.  How have our students already arrived at midterms? How is it possible that we are already making travel plans for holiday breaks? Despite the quick passing of time in the fast-paced college setting, we have arrived in October and for some of us, that could mean a mid-October lull. If you catch yourself feeling unmotivated or unproductive, check out this list of ideas to make your Monday count so that you can enjoy the rest of the week and the rest of the month!

  1. Change the background on your phone or computer. You’ll be surprised at the difference this can make!
  2. Print out an inspirational quote and display it at your desk. Here are some ideas:
  3.  Plan a date with someone in your family (whether in person or via technology)
  4. Schedule some time this week to spend outdoors.
  5. Log out of Facebook for a few days.
  6. Indulge in some fall favorites. Here is some inspiration:
