A Productivity Playlist for an #SAgrad and #SApro

by Meridith Balas

I think it’s safe to say that for the majority of student affairs professionals and student affairs graduate students, the transition from April to May is one of busiest times of the year between recognition events, finals, graduation, and the culmination of yet another incredible school year.

Whether it’s finalizing budgets, preparing for summer orientation, or writing those final research papers, every task requires patience and attention. Below you will find a list of songs that I always rely on to enhance my productivity and I hope that by passing it along, you’ll find some songs that will guide you through this busy and rewarding season.

  1.        Divisadero – Balmorhea
  2.        Pachelbel Meets U2 – Jon Schmidt
  3.       Your Hand in Mine – Explosions in the Sky
  4.      He’s a Pirate – Pirates of the Caribbean Original Soundtrack
  5.      A River Flows in You – Yiruma
  6.      Overture – Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves Original Soundtrack
  7.      Original Suite – Downton Abbey Original Soundtrack
  8.      Following Tzipporah – Prince of Egypt Original Soundtrack
  9.      All of Me – Performed by Jon Schmidt
  10.      Time Stops – Explosions in the Sky

As you can see, I like to include a variety of relaxing songs, piano covers, familiar scores, and other songs that create a calming environment for me to work in. If you’d like to hear my complete productivity playlist, feel free to check it out here!
