It is that time of
year where residents start to take a step back from their floor/hall
involvement. I know that is not the case for all floors and every campus
because some of my Community Advisors (CAs) have very active residents who
attend weekly programming. For a few others, they are having some trouble with
getting residents to attend their weekly floor dinners. This is my first time
working with CAs on this type of weekly requirement. For those of you who also work
with CAs that have weekly requirements, how do you or your student staff
promote attendance? How do we peak
interest to get current residents to come and interact with the new transfer or
enrolled students? This is definitely a common question to have in our
profession, but one that should always be thought about.
