Breathe in. Breathe out. Move on.

When I started writing for @SAFirstYears a few short weeks ago, we were told that if we had a really busy week we could just do a quick post. While I was SURE that was never going to be me, this week was my student staff training which ran right into opening weekend. I’m sitting here trying to think of something to post about, and my mind is just blank. Because of that, I’m going to share a little song with y’all:

My parents are big parrotheads (Jimmy Buffett fans). I grew up listening to Buffett and have always had a deep love for his music. When I think about music that puts me in a good place, it usually depends on my mood—sometimes it’s country, others it’s R&B, and occasionally in the middle of July it’s Christmas music—but Jimmy Buffett always has a way of making me smile. The following song is called, “Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On.” It always mellows me out and to be honest, it sometimes brings a tear to my eye. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do, and after I sleep a bit and reflect on this week/weekend’s festivities, I’ll have an awesome post ready for next week!
