Turning of Seasons

Well, my last camps have finally checked out for the summer and that concludes summer conference season (except for all the billing, collecting and planning for next year that is). As we wrap up this season, it’s already become a whirlwind of planning as we work towards opening the school again for the 2013-2014 year!

But first, I’m very much looking forward to my vacation as I haven’t been able to take too many breaks with all the exciting events all year and planning summer conferences. I’ll be taking my new niece, sister and brother-in-law to New Jersey to see some family, have some fun, and relax of course.

Upon my return we will have Resident Assistant (RA) training and Campus Activities Board (CAB) training followed by orientation and the first week of school! All this is going to come FAST! I’ve been asked to give several presentations to the campus leaders, commuter, and international students and I’m very much looking forward to it! There surely is that special something about working in Student Affairs that must energize us all up for each semester even though we know it’s going to be a lot of work!

It has been 2 months since I have seen my students and I am very much looking forward to their return. I’ll be excited to kick off the new year with a new officer board for CAB and designing new program additions to my leadership program for the campus! What are you looking forward to?
