I Am Loved - SA First Years Challenge

With Valentine’s Day being tomorrow, we are going to kick off the challenge for this week with the concept of I Am Loved by Helzberg Diamonds.  This simple marketing phrase came after the jeweler proposed to his girlfriend and wanted her to share how she felt to others.  Since 1967 the phrase has been translated in several languages, used in schools and various religions to breakdown barriers in showing their love for one another.

Over the next few days take the time to let others in your life know that they are loved with the simple phrase, I Am Loved.  This may include your student leaders, friends, family, significant others, or just that person you see each day that makes your day!

Each person may have a different way they would like to have this expressed.  Being in higher education you have probably heard about the Five Love Languages…

1. Words of Affirmation

2. Acts of Service

3. Receiving Gifts

4. Quality Time

5. Physical Touch

This may very simple but can have a huge impact on making someone’s day knowing that they matter in your life.   The challenge this week is to express yourself to others!
