Finding a Healthy You

In one of my past posts, I talked about how I found the sport of Roller Derby. At this time I am proud to say that I have passed all of my tests, physical and written, to be an official team member. Working on my derby skills these past few months have reminded me how important it is to exercise and eat healthy. While we all have our own vices, now is the time to identify them and change your habits. I have never really been into eating fast food, but every now and then I find myself craving it. This is one thing that I really want to change because what kind of food I put in my body is going to change my performance at practice and bouts. While that fast food burger tasted really great, it probably will not make me feel the best later. With all of this said, I would like to encourage all of us to think of our bodies as the only place that we have to live. This means that we should be conscious of what we are putting into our bodies and how we keeping them active.
