Break Time

So, I am literally writing this during a break, a layover to be exact! I am currently at the Las Vegas airport headed to visit my mom and brothers for the holiday (who I haven’t seen in a YEAR!). I left Lubbock Monday with 4 friends and co-workers and drove to Kansas City where we stayed with my significant other. Two people continued the next day in the car towards the Twin Cities, the other took a train to New York, and I stayed an extra day and am now flying home to California! If you would like to see how the trip went check out #RtKC on twitter – we had quite the adventure. So this is how I started my break.

At first I wanted to make a list of all the things I need to do over this break – and while I probably will (the Type A in me is bound to come out) – I want to try and focus on literally just taking a break. So on my, who-knows-how-long flight, from Kansas City to Las Vegas I just read. My friend bought me Born to Run for Christmas and I read approximately 150 pages on that flight and it has a great message – love what you do. So that is what I am going to do this break. No serious plans, just go with the flow, and have some break time. It is my brothers 7th birthday tomorrow, as a family we will go to grandma’s house, I have a special trip to San Francisco planned for my 16-year-old brother and mom, and then spending New Years in KC with an awesome person! It started off with an adventure, it will continue to be an adventure, and it will be refreshing, liberating, and exactly what I need! Enjoy your break and see you in the new year!

What are you doing this break?

In peace,

Ryan Bye
