Outside of Work

Thus far my posts have focused on transition and working with students, but this post is dedicated to my life outside of work and what I’ve been up to lately.  I’m pretty lucky to live in Golden, CO and close to Denver because there is always something fun taking place. There are festivals, sporting events, places to go hiking and biking. To prove I do have a life outside of work, I’m going to share some pictures from the last few weeks.

Stood in line for these tickets

and got to see him right down the street from campus…

(Image from Mine’s The Oredigger campus newspaper. I was close but my phone wasn’t taking good pictures!)

I recently tie-dyed my first shirt.

I finally feel like I’m back into my usual workout routine. I’m running this

next month! I’ve also found a few fitness classes I enjoy at the campus gym.

These were spotted right outside of my apartment on campus:

My partner and I had family from out of state here this weekend and I saw this lady at the zoo.

Fall is finally here and showing up in some parts of Colorado.

The Aspen trees around here are beautiful!

Sometimes I get so caught up in work I tend to forget to enjoy the little things and just have fun. This week I’m using this for inspiration:

  1. That's great you got to see the President! We just hosted Michelle Obama at my campus (University of Northern Iowa) about a week ago :)

P.S. Your pictures of the CO mountains are beautiful!
