1000 Awesome Things

As the year comes to an end, I am abundantly overwhelmed by the paperwork, water balloon fights in my patio, the judicial hearings, and the transition into the summer. But I also have been quite overwhelmed by the awesomeness that this year has brought me. As fellow blogger Amber Phillips listed the wonderful things about her first year as a professional, I hope to deliver the things I have learned as well in my first year in the coming weeks.

Until then I will take in all that is awesome. One gem that I have come to appreciate lately is the blog 1000 Awesome Things (http://1000awesomethings.com/). If you don’t know about it, for the past four years this man has been listing one awesome thing each weekday, and counting down to the number one awesome thing. This week the countdown ended, as the number one thing was revealed. I won’t ruin the secret of what it is, but I hope that you are able to take the time to check out this wonderful blog. Some things are pretty random. Some things are quirky as the dickens. But all of the things are most definitely awesome.

What has been awesome for you this year? Would you be able to compile a list, maybe not this grand, but at least of a handful or two of awesome things about your job? And your community?

Once you do- share them with those around you! Sometimes it is the smallest things that can make all of the difference!
